The U.S. Kids North of Ireland Summer Tour returns to Galgorm Castle
U.S. Kids Golf North of Ireland Tour returned to Galgorm Castle for the second event of the double header weekend.
The freshening breeze was welcome as the weather continued to co-operate, however, competition was hot out on the course.
North of Ireland Summer Tour Results from Galgorm Castle
Boys 6 and under
Parker Bonnes again went low with a 3 under par round to take 1st place. Parker finished the weekend a total of 9 under par! Sevie Trowlen was only three shots back in second place with an excellent level par round. Freddie Mairs finished in 3rd place with Tomas Owens in 4th. Armagh’s Brody Baird playing in his first event of the summer tour finished in 5th place with Luke McKenna in 6th.
There’s no stopping Tiernan Bradley who managed to make in a perfect weekend taking 1st place with a 1 under par total. Atharva Rajeshkumar is the model of consistency recording his fourth second place of the summer tour. Carter McLarnon rounded off the weekend with a 3rd place with the scores improving in each of his last three outings. Rhys McDowell took 4th place from Harry Thompson in 5th.
Ollie McEvoy continued where he left off at Allen Park taking 1st place from Elliott Andrews in 2nd place. Oisín Holman finished in 3rd place in his first U.S. Kids North of Ireland Tour start. Zac Hay in 4th was just one shot ahead of Lewis McGarry and Maddox Meers who shared 5th place.
David Lyttle and Harry O’Hara were locked together when the scores were totalled and David won the resulting playoff to take 1st place. David has a perfect record in the Summer tour having played two events and won both of them. Third place was shared by Lurgan’s Niall Coleman and Harris Fleming who were three shots behind the leading scores.
Harry Flood recorded his first win of the summer tour taking 1st place from Conail Fitsimons by a single shot. Daniel Hobbs shot his best score of the summer tour to finish in 3rd place. Tow shots separated 1st to 3rd places indicating the intense competition. Order of Merit leader, Oliver Gartley took 4th place but still has a commanding lead in the Order of Merit.
Thompson Gedge took 1st place for his second win of the weekend by a single shot from Conor Coleman.
Louis Goodwin finished in 3rd place from Jack Maguire in 4th. Thompson’s brace of wins has closed the gap on Louis in the Order of Merit with Thompson and Louis locked together on equal points at the top.
Michael Wilson was another played to record back to back wins edging out Peter Kelly by two shots. Ryan Dakhane took 3rd place.
Sheà Williamson and Kaeden Anderson are having quite a tussle at the top of boys 13-14, Sheà took his third win of the summer tour and second of the weekend from Kaeden in 2nd. Only 12.5 points separate these two players in the Order of Merit.
Lurgan’s Aisling Totton again played some great golf to make it two wins from two startes over the weekend. Amelia Penrose had a great 2nd place her highest placing to date on the summer tour. Mollie Douglas and Emma Vinarcik
Cora Nichol took 1st place in girls 10-11.
