U.S. Kids Golf Irish Open 2023 Competitor Information

Information for Competitors taking part in the 2023 U.S. Kids Golf Irish Open hosted by Mount Wolseley Golf Resort.

Official Practice Round

Monday 10th July for any U.S. Kids Golf Irish Open Competitors

Practice Ground Usage

The Practice Area is at least a 10-minute walk from the main clubhouse. Please note this area is usually a Private Range for lessons, but will operate as a Driving Range on tournament days. There will be a shuttle service in operation for players and caddies to and from the practice area ONLY on tournament days (Tuesday & Wednesday).

Please note shuttles will be for players and caddies NOT spectators.

Players can also walk to and from the practice area by following the signage. Or a player/caddy can drive and park next to holiday homes on site and have a short walk to range via Green keepers shed following the signs.

Balls for the practice area can be purchased from the Professional Shop. You will be given a receipt and can collect the balls on the driving range (30 balls for €5).

Practice Ground opening hours will be:

Tuesday 11th July Round 1

6:30am - 3:30pm

Wednesday 12th July Round 2

6:30am - 3:30pm

The practice ground will be closed outside these times and may also be closed while ball collection is in process.

Chipping Area

There is a Chipping area, which you can access from the 9th Hole. The 9th is a short walk from the main clubhouse. 6:30- 20:00

Putting Green

There is large putting green right next to the first tee. 6:30am - 8:00pm

Changing Facilities

There are two large locker rooms at the main clubhouse with showers and toilets. Towels are available if needed. All property is left at the owners’ own risk.

Catering Facilities

Mount Wolseley Resort has a few fantastic catering options. The Aaron Lounge serving lunch and dinner, this will be were the players get their lunch before/after Round 1 (Players lunch served between 11:30am-5:00pm). Fredericks Restaurant a fine dinning experience is also available for Breakfast in hotel and evening meals. Breakfast on tournament days (Tuesday & Wednesday will be served from 6:30am)

Please note the restaurants will be busy over the tournaments days, so booking is highly recommended.

Standard of Dress

On the Course

Visitors are expected to be dressed in appropriate golf attire on the golf course.

Clubhouse:

Smart casual dress is acceptable in the clubhouse, but no torn jeans or headwear permitted.

Professional Shop

Mount Wolseley have a great Professional Shop has a comprehensive stock of leading brand clothing, including a stock of Junior clothing, and equipment. Also with Mount Wolseley Crested clothing, hats, ball markers etc.

Golf Carts

Golf Carts are NOT available to hire during the event.

Please note anyone needing a Disability Caddy Golf Cart please see a member of USKG Staff.

Pull/Push/ElectricTrolleys

These can be hired via the Pro shop.

Push €4, Electric €20.

Please note Electric Trolleys must be booked in advanced. Push trolleys are rented on a first come first serve basis.

Liability

Visitors, their vehicles and equipment are on Club property at their own risk and the Club has no liability. The Club has the right to refuse entry or the removal of a visitor at its absolute discretion.

Parking is available at the Resort. Please do not leave valuables in your car or unattended around the Club.
