U.S. Kids Golf up and running in Lurgan
Junior golfers in Lurgan got their first taste of the successful U.S. Kids Learning programme when U.S. Kids Certified coach, Zoe Allen, launched Lurgan's U.S. Kids Learning programme.
Initially Zoe will run two junior coaching groups following the U.S. Kids Learning programme. Zoe hopes to run further junior coaching sessions later in the year. U.S. Kids have devised a series of lessons accompanied with instruction booklets. The learning programme enables Junior Golfers to be awarded pins signifying a level of competence in 5 key disciplines.

The programme covers three levels of achievement, with each level becoming progressively more difficult than the previous. Pins are awarded when junior golfers achieve a standard set by U.S. Kids golf.
In addition to the Learning Programme, U.S. Kids also organise golf tournaments for Junior Golfers. A total of 7 events will be held in Ireland during 2017. These events are open to Junior Golfers between 7-12 years old. Golfers compete within their age group and there are sections for boys and girls.
